The electrical cord on my mixer got burned and melted slightly, Can I fix the cord as only 1cm of it has been burnt or will the whole thing need to be replaced?

Depending just where the damage is on the cord you have two options - shorten the cord and fit a new plug on what's left - remove the cord and replace with a new one.

Which route you follow will depend on the length of cord you need for normal safe operation.
