Some bozo has just gone and clobbered my shiny 1997 astra's wing mirror right off...

I can see how the parts on the mirror and the door fit together, and they aren't broken, but haven't been able to get them to go back together. Any ideas?

Once it is cracked that is pretty much it
I had to but a new mirror, cost about 25 euro (20 pound)
It was pretty easy to replace
You will need to slide off the black cover on the inside of the door with the mirror adjuster.
It should come away easily enough
Watch that you do not pull the wire into the small speaker
Unscrew the three screws
Remove the old mirror
Replace it with the new mirror
Replace the black cover

Job done
