Door Lock on Skoda Octavia 01?

Passenger door rear is locked & will not open from outside or inside. Central locking does not move button up & down, button stuck down. How do I get the door open? & what is possible cause?

Thanks Jim for your response,
I got the door open by shocking the lock area inside with the butt of a screw driver , I then activated the central locking. I tried this a few times & the button on the door popped up & door opened. This is a problem on the 01/02 Skoda models. I have a new door lock ordered.

Thanks again,

if it's happened in the last few days, any moisture inside the mechanism could have frozen, wind the window down & squirt some de-icer down inside the door or see if it opens when the weather warms up. then spray with wd40 or similar.
