fiat ducato wont start?

my fiat ducato wont start,i have fitted a new battery and a new starter motor but the engine doesnt turn over .all the lights on the dashboard light up but the starter motor doesnt turn over.The van is nearly 5 years old and has 50000 miles on the clock.can anyone help? cheers Bob

My fait duccatto won't start but will turn over ok when turning over there is no smoke or smell of diesel lights all on on dash engine management light stays on when engine is turning it has being put on computer and shows flautist at ecu this vehicle was going ok was stop when I went to start it would not start and still has not started

IMHO either the immobilser needs restting as good still be active, or more like the small red wire that connects to the starter is not making a good contact

Can you hear the starter solenoid kicking when you turn the key? Is the starter engaging or spinning freely? My starter bendix is getting stuck in the cold weather.
