Ford Focus heater fan motor fuse?

The heater fan does not work on settings 123. this is caused by the timed fuse blowing. This fuse is mounted on the top of the resistor pack and is spot welded into place. This is the third time in two years that it had blown and I must buy a complete pack for £15 rather than replace a twopenny fuse. The fuse ref is 216KR1 7410, any ideas of its rating? I guess that it is about 5 amps delayed blow.

Don't know about being able to replace the fuse but the cause of it blowing in the first place is probably your heater motor beginning to show signs of seizing. The crap pollen filter design causes water to run down the windscreen and in to the heater motor housing if the pollen filter sealer is not doing its job. The motor then seizes over time and the resistor blows.

Hi, Lance, there is no value for the fuse in the genuine Ford manual?? but as the supply fuse is 30amp the fuse will need to be of similar value, if you have a multimeter put in place of the blown fuse and see what current it is using
