The front passenger door on my 98 Ford Focus, does not operate properly, meaning that I can't close the door. I have had a look at the door catch/lock in the door and it appears that the catch is stuck in the closed position meaning that it will not close on the striker bar on the door pillar. Any thoughts on a remedy for this??

most likely requires door lock actuator assembly ,this is a relatively common fault.

whilst pulling handle get a screwdriver or similar toflick lock mechanisn open!
