if there is an internal gas leakage, it is very difficult to fix and it is not reliable, because the cooling part (evaporator) is of aluminium which is very thin. there is another big problem. the evaporator is behind the plastic board ( that you see in the fridge) and surounded with insulation foam. it is not possible to weld the leakage on aluminium without damaging plastic interior of the freezer. even if the repair is succesfull, there is a lot of work and parts (filter-drier, refrigerant, welding material,...), it would be very expensive (in my country aprox. 200 EUR).
