Hotpoint: burned out programme switch?

The Hotpoint 9912 washing machine will not start. On examination, the main programme switch was found to have burned out at terminal 2b (the mains suply to the switch).

Is this likely to be a problem with the switch or a symptom of a problem elsewhere?
