how can i fix the brakelights on my 97 ls vectra?

i have no brakelights on my 1.8ls vectra!!!, cant find a fuse corespondig to it, bulbs seem fine, preveous owner had tow bar??, but no signs ov shoddy wiring can anybody help??

just fixed brake lts on my 97 di vectra, fuse is 35 same as reverse, if they work fuse is ok. ifound brake lt switch at top of brake pedal, removed it and sprayed with electrical contact spray, worked it by hand a few times, refitted, ok now.

Well, has it got a tow bar now, or has it been removed? There is a fuse for the brake lights and it is number 38 (Fuse rating A, Red).And on some models it also operates the cruse control and information display. Check the fuse first and if there are still problems, then e-mail me, trit666@hotmail.com .
