why does my fridge keep freezing?

My fridge freezer keeps freezing at the fridge compartment instead of the freezer. There is also a huge build up of ice.

The defrost control is not working...Un-plug and completely thaw,may take a day..Then the fridge will work for a while but needs to be serviced...
