how can i tell where the water is leaking from on my washing machine. it does not leak that much. it is not leaking from the hoses (drain hot cold)

Usual source of leaks on smartdrive machines are nearly always the inlet hoses or the drain hose has a small pin hole in it. If you are sure it is neither of them then all you can do is start from where the water first appears & follow it back until you find the source of the leak. This may include emptying the machine & tip it back against wall so you can look underneath for any signs of water.
