car cuts out, and engine management light comes on, restarts after few attempts and light goes off. Read through other threads, suggestions include egr valve idle control valve, cam belt, coil pack and some just say full service should sort it. Please help happened 3 times in a week

There is no point changing parts at random. If the engine management light has been on, a fault code will have been stored. You need to get the fault codes read using diagnostic equipment. Vauxhall dealers are expensive, lots of independent workshops can read them for you and give you a print-out. Dont let them talk you into replacing parts, say you'll have to think about it.
When you have the codes, post them up on here and we'll see what we can do.

With the engine light going back out it could be something as simple as low oil i.e once you,ve stopped what little oil there is drain's back to the sensor level enabling you to restart the car. Any other faults like egr, coil pack ect the light would stay on.
