How to fix citroen xsara heater?

My father has a citroen xsara 1.4 saloon (registered Dec 2000, makes it a X reg I believe), recently the heater/blower was full on and could not be turned off, now it has completely stopped, could anyone tell me the location of heater/blower unit? and how easy it is to repair? If anybody has the information they could scan and e-mail me that would be very useful and much appreciated.

Dad has taken the glove box out and still can't see it?

if it has climate control as opposed to basis air conditioning chances are it will be the fan control module which is located in the heater unit access is via the drivers foot well this seems to be a common fault on french cars, do a google search for AUSSIE FROGS a website full of usefull information i have just replaced one on a c5 with exactly same symptons as yours it cost me 55 quid inc vat

usually behind the glove compartiment
(like peugeot 406 ...)
if the speedregulator is defective
(full speed) usually its on the blower
you need to change 1 or 2 power
transistors or mosfets
