how can i fix my dishlex 100 dishwasher from leaking water?

how can i fix my dishlex 100 to stop water leaking out of the door seal when the door is shut and the machine is operating

It is not always necessary to replace the seal! At the small cut out in the lower door seal there is a matching drain hole in the door, this becomes blocked up with 'gunk' and results in water pooling in bottom of door until it overflows. It can be cleared temporarily by using a paper clip, piece of wire etc. Ideally the inner stainless steel door liner should be removed and the area behind the seal cleaned out, along with the actual seal. I do this using a small scrubbing brushdetergent and hot water, Voila, no more leaks!

The previous answer is incorrect for my Dishlex 100.

To replace the lower door seal:
(a) Open the door completely.
(b) Lean inside the cabinet and remove the 5 phillips head screws holding the seal on the bottom edge of the door.
(c) Remove the front panel of the door by unscrewing 4 screws on each side (you don't need to undo the screws at the top holding the control panel), and disconnecting the earth wire.
(d) Close the door, which increases the gap between the door and the cabinet, and push the old seal into the dishwasher from the front.
(e) Clean the years of gunk buildup on both sides.
(f) Install the new seal and replace the 5 screws holding the seal.
(g) Reattach the earth wire to the door front panel and replace the 4 screws on each side of the door.
(h) Remind your wife how much money you saved doing the job yourself and receive your hard-earned reward ;-)

Replace the front door seal. Check for black marks on the actual door to determine if the seal is perished and check the actual seal for same. A temporary solution is to massage the seal gently outwards so that the door seals better when closed. If you get a new seal, remove 4 screws at top of d/washer, remove st/steel liner, remove 2 screws from either side near bottom, remove st/steel cover, replace seal and reverse procedure.
