Hi Margaret, not forgotten you. Still waiting for part, and then have to wait for Engineer to fit. Any news from your end. I am using 2 in 1 until it is fixed.
Best wishes,

HI Margaret, Engineer just been. He said it was very rare for this to happen and it could be one of two things. He used a round screwdriver like with a bend in the end which stood up a good half inch. He then proceeded to clean out the two top holes at the back of the rinse aid drawer. You wouldn't believe the muck he got out. He then put the machine on a 30 minute wash and to let him know if it worked. It didn't so it needs a new valve. Told the office and waiting for their response as to next visit. Will keep you informed of course. Best wishes

Margaret:
I only use powder, and do a very hot wash once a week. I also run it empty on very hot ever 2/3 months, and did this to see if it would clear. Of course not....................

Hi Margaret:
Last resort - Engineer from Miele supplier where I bought my washing machine is coming out next Monday. Will let you know of course what happens.
In the meantime you could use 2 in 1 washing powder like I have.
Take care.

Margaret, go to DIY Doctor - Projects - W for w/m then follow instructions. You will find item about Dispenser, also a write-up about Miele. Good luck.

Cost is £92 for Miele to come out!!!!!!! plus parts of course. That is all they recommend. Found another answer to our problem on web - could be water path control device. Cannot find any free solutions other than this web site, but will keep trying. Going to attempt clearing with cable ties as you have and will let you have result tomorrow. Keep up the good work!!!!!!!!! Best wishes,

HI Margaret; had top off again but the unit is sealed. When I investigated further on line it said " sounds like one of the solenoids is not working. If you take the lid off the machine you will see either 3 or 4 solenoids in the rear left corner with rubber hoses going into them; one of them will be broken or blocked. Unless you know how to use a multimeter you will need to get someone to test them." I am concerned that if I have to call Miele out and the seal is broken they may not touch it. Will now e-mail Miele to see what they suggest, pleading ignorance. Will let you know. Take care. Best regards,

HI Margaret, we did all that you did and my husband took lid off machine and found electrical wiring diagram plus a plate that is screwed down and sealed all around. He is going to have another go at it. Will let you know of course.
Regards, Pennie.
