Pro-Form 530i treadmill is inoperable?

Can you help me find out what's wrong with this treadmill?
Conditions: line voltage is (120vac) measured and present. Surge protector is as specified and operating normally. When the magnetic switch is engaged, the console displays light up. The motor does not start.
The display to the left of fan: the (Matrix) lights that show progress around a track are all lit. The iFit--manual selection toggles (two beeps) but effects nothing else.
The console display to the right of the fan: this also lights-up, all zeros--the Distance/Incline and the Time/Pace lamps alternate normally--no other information is displayed.
The Quick Start (plus) and (minus) buttons have no affect--however, only the minus button beeps 3 times when pressed.
Based on troubleshooting in owner's manual--I opened the base and checked the position of the reed switch, which I found to be within tolerance(1/8") I also found that reed switch wiring passing between the frame and base cover had worn insulation--baring one wires (it did not appear to have shorted to its surroundings.) I taped it up with electrical tape--adding extra tape to buffer the wires.
There is no apparent damage (fluids, etc) to the base components. The Motor, the belts, all turn freely. Sorry that this so long-winded--I want to answer all your questions.
Thank you--Art

I had the same exact problem too! Any answers? Proform told me it's the Console and i either need to scrap the treadmill or get a replacement console (which is about $330). Now i'm stuck.

Were you able to resolve your issue? My unit just started behaving the same way, hoping you were able to figure something out.

Thanks!
