How can i stop my standard v reg punto from juddering when i get above 40 MPH

Hi

my punto so called clutch judder traced to sticking sliders on front brake calipers
i freed them and all judder as gone

i also had this problem and took my 2001 punto to several garages, even had a new gearbox out of it, tried many different wheels, Fiat Garage didn't have a clue and as you say it was only when the car went over 40mph. Eventually, a good mechanic found it to be the cv joint, got this replaced and car was perfect.

Have you had the wheels balanced recently,I would try that first,in the short term you could put the rear wheels on the front and see if that improves things.
