Motor not turning on Hotpoint wm63?

The drum won't turn, the belt is connected, pump worrking, programmes clicking nicely, but the motor is not turning to turn the belt.

is this due to brushes which could be replaced or do i need a new motor?

Hi Jim here, it sounds very much like the brushes need to be replaced , but on saying that check the plug to the motor to see if it has worked loose ,hope this helps
