Wow. This indicates that the totaliser memory is full. In all my years, I've never seen it happen as it can usually hold millions of dollars. Therefore, it may have memory corruption. Firstly, try this:

Turn key to Z mode
100
SUBTOTAL

Then turn back to R mode and try it.
