When you say a loud banging noise, do you mean a loud 'crack' part way through the cycle. If so that is happening to mine (not every time) it happened the other day, and for the first time,I saw a blue flash at the back of the dryer. It is some sort of electrical fault and I wonder if anyone can tell me if it is fixable as I would have thought it could turn out to be dangerous.
