ignition problem in megane 1.4 (1996)?

The car does not ignite. There is no problem with the battery because all electric gadgets work well. A friend of mine suggested that it could be the Coil. Where the coil is located in magane 1.4 (1996) and how do I know it is faulty and how do I change it?
