Citroen Xantia power steering fluid?

where do you top up power steering fluid
Ray Greenham, January 2010
u just lift out the main reservoir unclip it, haynes manual is best or pick 1 up off ebay for a few quid, fairly easy job only replace with citroen l.h.m fluid anythin else will seriously damage the hyd system u may need about 3-4 litres of lhm, garage will charge about 2 hrs work to do this lhm should be changed about every 30.000 miles or 3yrs intervals. also clean out all lhm filters,

Hey Bob,
thanks for your instruction, but could you tell me how can I change the whole Hydraulic oil in my Xantia 2.0i? and how much oil I need to change the whole? and do you have any idea that which haydraulic oil is proper for that?

TIA

the xantia doesn't have a seperate power steering circuit it has one main hydraulic circuit with one pump which supplies the suspension brakes and steering, the reservoir is the container on the right hand side it has a lot of rubber pipes going to it , the level can only be checked with the suspension set to maximum height ,then the orange ring on the float should be between the two rings on the clear plastic dome ,L H M fluid ONLY must be used to top up the system any other fluid WILL damage the rubber seals resulting in complete hydraulic failure, if servicing has been neglected the system will require draining, filters cleaning, and fresh L H M fluid putting in the fluid should be changed every 2 years, invest in a haynes manual has the full procedure in that
