take off rear door panel and check connection for handle mechanism ... it may have become disconnected or clip may have snapped with age / useage
as to the window "squirter" ( im taking this to mean the window wiper fluid despencer)
check that the feed line (rubber tube ) connected to it that supplies it with fluid has not come off ... is it making a noise when you activate it ? if not chances are its knackered ... i would try a breakers yard for a replacement before buying a brand new one ... you should be able to get one for £10 from them
