How do I fix the Agitator ?

I have a Roper 2 speed HD Super Capacity 7 cycle
SM 8280871 (Whirlpool Corp.) The agitator will not move in a normal size load of clothes. I have been trying to open it up and see if it has a belt that may need replacing, but I do not see how to open up the case.
