i recently bought a second hand r reg ford ka and the radio is locked. It wont let me input the code even though i don't know it so what can i do as the silence is drvin me nuts ! please help x

What does the radio show on its display?

If it shows "LOCKED10", "10LOCKED" or just "LOCKED":

1. Turn the radio OFF.
2. Press and hold the '6' preset button.
3. Turn the radio ON.
4. Do not release the '6' preset button. Continue to hold this button until the radio stops showing "LOCKED". This may take up to 40 seconds.

WARNING: The above procedure will activate 3 additional attempts to enter the code. If they are used up, the radio cannot be unlocked without special equipment. "LOCKED13" or "13LOCKED" will appear.

If it shows "TEN":

Turn the radio ON, press and hold 'SELECT' and 'MAN' buttons together. This procedure will activate 1 additional attempt to enter the code. If it is used up, the radio cannot be unlocked without special equipment. "TEN+" will appear.

If it shows "WAIT", "HOLD" or "CODE HOLD":

Leave the radio turned on. After 30-60 minutes, it will allow to enter the code.

If it shows non-flashing four dashes "- - - -" and the code cannot be entered:

Leave the radio turned on. After 30-60 minutes, it will allow to enter the code.
