I'd be glad to help but there are a few questions first:
1) What type of keyboard does your register have - raised key or flat key?
2) Are you sure you want a 'refund' key and not a 'discount' key? A 'refund' is typically when a customer returns merchandise and you accept the merchandise and refund their money. A 'discount' is when a customer is purchasing merchandise and you want to register a discount off the normal retail price.
3) Are you sure you don't already have a refund and/or discount key on your keyboard? On a raised key register the refund key is usually in the upper right corner and the discount key is third column from the right, second key from the top, sometimes labelled 'Item -' . On a flat key register the refund key is right-most column, third from the bottom. Unless the dealer reprogrammed these keys, they should be in those locations.
4) Did you receive a manual when you purchased your register? If not, will the dealer give you one?
5) Do you have a Manager key (with MA stamped on it) to be able to do the programming? If not, will the dealer give you one?
Post another answer to this question with these answers and I'll see if I can help.
