how can i fix my vw passat after changing battery ?

my car wont tick over after disconecting battery and charging over night.vw 1999 passat ,please help no money to pay for fix

Did you try to jump start it prior to charging the battery that may have damaged ecu. Get a vag-com cable on ebay for £15 and check for faults.
