How can I fix my vauxhall vectra 2.0 dti,it will not start everytime,?

every so often ie will not start,it will fire and run for a couple of seconds then cut out,it then appears to have fuel starvation ,if you keep tuning the engine over after a couple of minutes it will start but with difficulty,it does when it is hot or cold and it doesnt matter how long it is between uses?

Hello

Change your fuel spill pipes and connectors first, bits cost a fiver and 30mins to do. Do this before touching injector seals as they are a bitch to get to. 9 times out of 10 would be faulty spill pipes letting air in. otherwise its a good engine.

I change my pipes every year.

I had a vectra with similar problems, check out the injector seals, they tend to perish and you loose fuel pressure.
Hope this helps
