how do i remove the timing cover on a vectra sri 2 litre to replace the cam sensors its 1996 model petrol

There is only 1 sensor and make sure you have the right tool for the job as it is very easy to use a normal socket on a ratchet. This is a external star socket set which can be purchased from any car shop for around £15.00. It is easier to remove the fan belt for this job as well. And I will add the point of forcing it will break the cover. There are 3 10mm nuts, to get to the bottom you will need to remove the drivers side wheel and the bolt is next to the crank wheel. The next one up is the middle one and it is accessable via the bonnet and you should see it easly and the top one you should see aswell. Slide the cover up and the cam sensor bolt is between the two cams. I hope this helps as if you have any other problems then e-mail me and I will help you out.
