Alloy Wheels Rub ?

Tried to put a set of alloys on my Kangoo and the back left wheel rubs against the inside of the car ( not the arch ) been told that the " swinging left arm " of the axle is knackered and I would be better replacing the whole axle with one out the scrappy , could it be that I should be putting comercial wheels on my Kangoo instead of trying make it look a bit better with 14in clio alloys , can anyone advise what I should do and what exact tyre/ wheel size should I use on my Renalut Helios 1.4 Kangoo 2001 . thanks in advance to all any who reply .

dont know wat sise is the original but was told by a tyre guy he advises against low profile alloys on a van as they tend not to have the same load carring capacity as comersial tyres on steel wheels, havin said this if all you use your van for is carring the muts to the shoot theyl be fine
