if it's direct injection, it won't have glow plugs!

glow plug does not ignite fuel it only warms up combustion chamber to help combustion when cold,the high compression ratio of diesel engines increases the temperature of the compressed air which ignites fuel when injected -either electrically or mechanically

the glow plugs ignites fuel they are under very high pressure if van wont turn over is battery charged or maybe air lock in system hope this helps
