Heating and hot water gone off. Had plumber round today who replaced pump £120 (ouch) its still not working. He wants to replace fan now (£150) the blue light is off flashing on and the reset light is flashing. This is not a fan problem according to the manual. He says hes 99% sure its the fan. I'm not convinced I have until Monday to find out more.

I have greenstar 25si/30si boiler the red reset button keeps coming on then the blue button flashes, when I press reset it comes to life then dies again and flashes reset. No hot water or heating.

Thanks Ian he said its not likley because the condensate pipe is not vented outside, it goes into a waste pipe indoors.

before he fits the fan, ask him to open the condensate trap and see if it fires up with that open. worcesters on board fault finding is pretty usually accurate. if the condensate is frozen it would generally indicate ignition lockout. hope that helps.
