will the securtiy system malfunction stop land rover to start?

i have a 1996 landrover discovery i pulled in my driveway couple days ago .when i went back out start it up again it would not start .thats when i noticed the red security light on

i can't help in repair but security system can and does cause many starting problems. It seems solder joints in electronic control box fail and need resoldering.
