i have a ford escort encore m reg and i have been able to drive it today, but tonight it cut out. i was able to restart it with a booster, after driving for around 15 minutes it cut out again. when i tried the ignition key there was nothing at all. i also noticed an awful smell like rotten eggs coming from the exhaust! any ideas?

Hi.sounds like you need to get the charging system checked out ASAP, the rotten eggs smell is coming from the battery and means the charging system is malfunctioning this means that your battery is being overcharged-sorry, but hopefully your new battery can still be used after this.

Hi Chicksfan forgot to say the battery is only 5 weeks old and has been fine but as I know nothing about cars could it be a duff one?
