How do I lock up the crankshaft to remove the Pulley bolt E36 319?

How can I lock up the crankshaft to remove the pulley bolt - to renew the seal and replace it? Car is a BMW 1996 E36 318 4 cylinder model. Tried using the lockout pin in the flywheel but the pulley bolt is very tight, and I don't want to risk damaging the flywheel hole by stressing it too much.

If you use the locking pin it will bugger up as the bolt is very tight.
I made a tool that bolts onto the front of crank then you can use a 22mm socket to undo the crank bolt.
If you have air con, its a bit more fiddly but still straight forward enough to use.
If you send your email to mekkannatrix.nar-ha AT THE HOT PLACE DOT COM I will send you some pictures of it.
