how can i fix a fuel problem 1.9 diesel kangoo?

van cuts out. the bleed pump is sucked in stopping fuel flow. bleed the fuel again and van runs for a short time. can enybody help?

When wa the fuel filter last changed? If it hasn't been changed for a while, try this first. If it's not that, it couldbe a blockage in the fuel tank or pipe.
