belt tension on beko dryer?

the belt tension on beko condenser dryer is extrememly tight. so tight it causes a growling grinding noise from motor making operation very noisey. can this tension be normal?

the belt has a pre set tension so start looking elsewhere for fault as its not the belt tension!
