how to check auto oil level?

I have a 95 laguna rt i would like to changed the transmission oil but there is no dip stick only a rubber bung

im afraid the only proper way to check it is at main dealer... a lot of manufacturers in there infinite wisdom are resorting to this on some models you cant even drain the oil need special equipment!! good luck
