I have a cdw252. I hope it's the same. Put the dishwasher on its side with the door facing you. On the bottom you'll see a large, black plastic, rounded part, which corresponds inside the dishwasher to the place where the water goes out and comes in. On its left side there is a round lid with 3 screws (6 mm head). Open it and clean up the content; close it back.
Now, you should put the dishwasher upside down with the door towards you. You'll find the water level switch on your right hand, placed on the side wall. It is round and it is connected to 3 wires and a yellowish hose going to the recipient you've just cleaned. Diconnect the wires and the hose from its other side (the cleaned recipient) and place your ohmmeter on the middle pin and a side pin. If it's a short circuit, when you blow into the hose, it should become a disconnect. Between the middle pin and the other side pin it should be the other way around. If it doesn't work like this it must be replaced.
