My Hoover TV630 Tumble Drier has developed a squeak?

How do I get to the motor of my Hoover TV630? I have taken the top off and all I can see is the drum. I took a shield off the back but there is only wires behind it. The drier makes a real loud squeaking noise when used. I am assuming that it is dry bearings but I've got to find them first.

As previous post, but also tying the belt in place with string temporarily can help with refitting. Squeak can also be from rear drum bearing. proceed as prevous poster has said, but also remove heater element and 4 screws securing rear drum plate at back of machine. The lift whole drim out through front. You may have to keep turning machine over - I did it all on an old carpet. Be careful with wiring - helps if you can support the front panel somehow - an assistant would be ideal. A circlip holds the rear bearing, which is screwed to the back plate, onto drum spindel, but the circlip may have come off. Ideally replace rear bearing (and also spindel?). If not too bad you may get away with just re-greasing it. I turned mine over since the wear tends to be at the bottom - owing to weight of drum plus laundry.

PS. if you can tell me how the timer is wired, I'd be eternally greatful

first you remove the top by taking the strip at the back off & sliding out the MDF lid, next remove the rest of the plastic strips for the top and the screws that hold the front panel. turn it upside down & take out all the screws that hold the front panel on, and also the ones behind the door holding the front panel on. behind the panel there is a plastic cover over the motor fan, this unclips, but the bit that holds the filter above it has a screw at either end you must remove. the front of the drum runs on 2 rubber wheels, this may be where your problem is. if its to do with the motor you will need to unbolt the thing from the base of the machine, & bl**dy good luck trying to get the belt back on, but here's a tip. put the belt on the drum, then fit belt between rollers on motor bracket and over pulley, then pull down motor to base of machine & fit bolts. you may also find it easier if you use a small screwdriver in a bolt hole to line it up. then check belt is on OK. pulley on motor has a number of grooves you can run belt around, I advise you fit belt so as to avoid the rough areas of the drum.
