My Victa 2 stroke lawn mower is over 11 years old and was working fine then the next time i tried to start it it will not start

i checked the air filter in the handle section and it appears clear

i have also replaced the spark plug.

it just wont kick over

does any one have any other suggestions as the mower shop want $140 to service it

Stale fuel can cause problems if it has been in the tank for some time, drain the system and refill with fresh fuel
