oppened the boot took out the shopping and went to close it the catch would not close it. it is stuck in the open posistion as i can remove the key. the key will not turn in the lock now. the cl is still working ok. tis happened once before in heavy rain but after half an hour it started working but it has now been two days can anyone help thanks dana

I had a similar problem on my Citroen,with the boot lid up, check to see if the catch mechanism stays still if you push the whole catch system, sometimes the three hex bolts that hold the mechanism will loosen half a turn or so and this allows the mechanism to move slightly and thus push away from the boot sneck. All you need to do is pull the mechanism as far forward as possible and tighten the hex bolts.
