Where is the chassis number on a Talbot Express?

The chassis number is on the riveted VIN plate. However - is there anywhere else the chassis number is stamped? ie on the chassis or bodywork?

I need this to be able to register the camper where I now live

Under the carpet and rubber matting on the drivers side, near to the handbrake. That's for a 1985 but I would imagine it would be the same

Ive tried peeling back the carpets asfar as I can without unbolting the seats -- Anyone with a 91 Talbot Express able to advise?

They usually stamp them on or around the inner door sill you will have to remove door sill trim or peel back carpet.
