bosch exxcel bottom rotor won't turn?

The bottom rotor on my Bosch exxcel dishwasher won't turn even though there seems to be no blockage and it fills with water during rinse cycle. All nozzles are clear. is this becasue of low pressure or a leak elsewhere? Anyone any ideas please?

This drove me mad until i thought i'd remove the blades and found a small piece of gunk lodged in one of the holes. If the water can't escape from all the holes the rotor wont spin. Removed the gunk, started a cycle and hey presto... a clean top rack of dishes. Simple in reflection.
