i have tested for a spark and yes i have one,did put spoonful of petrol in engine but still didn't start,but someone said perhaps water in engine,spark plug was very carboned up so changed it to a new one,am about to drain carb ,petrol in tank is fine no water

Hi,
when you popped some fuel done the bore did it try and start?
Also is the spark consistantly blue and bright, I have known a weak spark not enough to ignite fuel. did you try the fuel down the bore with new plug in?
Worth cleaning carb out be very careful lots of delicate bits.
However if it did not try and fire when you popped fuel down the bore then it would suggest something else is a miss.
When you try and kick it over is the kick start free moving or a bit stiff.
