getting 6F fault, ?

6F is a zone , i take it,also fault & service lights are illuminated
have disabled sensor in that zone , but fault still occurring. have managed once to reset alarm, but it triggers randomly , whether alarm is set or NOT.

fault now showing as 6F / rr

Hi BJ, Good advice from Acorn, There is no such fault as 6F on a Scantronic 9800, You need a Yuasa 7amp hour sealed lead acid rechargeable battery. Dont go to Maplins, go to your nearest electrical whole-saler
The rr by the way means reset required, Change the battery and then reset the alarm by entering your code, and pressing clear or the tick key, depending on which keypad you have.

I bet you have a Scantronic panel, if so I suggest it is saying bF not 6F

bF is Battery fail, get a new one
