Piaggio zip wont start after repair?

The stud which attaches the exhaust to the cylinder head sheered off. I got a new cylinder head, removed the old one reattached everything exactly as before. When I tried to start it, it would turn over but not fire up, Iv checked and replaced the spark plug. Any suggestions ?

put your finger or thumb oveer the spark plug hole with the plug removed and get someone to gently kick it over for you does it blow your finger out of the way?can you see if the base gasket is disturbed as it will it transfer new vapour if it isnt good.

pop a tea spoon amount of fuel in bore and replace plug and then try to start. Is it trying to fire when you do this?
