How do you change the power cable on a Dyson DC04?

The cable has worn at the point where it enters the machine by the switch. To fix it I need (I think) to access the switch mechanism, how do you do this?

I can see this must be a recent epidemic for everyone, and so far no-one has the answer, any thoughts?

put a flat blade down the side of the yellow button -on off one the side nearest the handle, there is a little ridge on yellow button once you remove button there is a philips screw, remove screw, and assembley lifts out to change wire.wires held on with spade connectors which you can buy in any DIY shop,
