Glove Compatment Ford Mondeo X Reg ?

This is the Old Shaped Mondeo. The glove compartment will not open, pulling the lever seems to make no difference. How can I get into it?

if there is nothing in it ..leave it...either that or you can burst it open....catch inside for working spring will be broken...the only way inis.....break in...im sure scrap yards will have plenty old mondeos for spares...
