dryer tripping switch at main box and wont work at all?
i have a hotpoint aquarius condenser dryer ctd00 and its tripping main power switch,wont work at all now as keeps tripping when i turn back on,could anyone help
The trip, if it takes out all the power in the house will be the RCD and will be caused by a leakage of mains power to earth - a short somewhere.
One way to diagnose the failing component - if it's not easily visible - is to disconnect each component in turn until the fault goes away.
A specialist appliance engineer will be able to track the fault down relatively quickly. Do not attempt to use it until it's fixed - there's a safety issue.
